Earth science & Space science are certainly the oldest sciences, and has featured strongly throughout the history of Nature. The launch of Discovery Nature now enables much expanded coverage of the modern disciplines: the journal welcomes research across Earth Science & Space Science and its technologies, with the aim of fostering closer interaction between the researchers in each of these areas.
Discovery Nature is characterized by a dedicated team of professional editors, a fair and rigorous peer-review process, high standards of copy-editing and production, rapid publication and editorial independence.
In addition to publishing original research, Discovery Nature publishes Reviews, Analysis and Reports from across the full range of disciplines concerned with Earth Science & Space Science and its technologies.
Manuscripts have to be double-spaced with one-inch margins. Headings must be used to designate the major divisions of the paper. To facilitate the review process, manuscripts should contain page and line numbering. Manuscripts must be written in English. Authors whose native language is not English are strongly advised to have their manuscript checked by a language editing service, or by an English mother-tongue colleague prior to submission. As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off the Submission Preparation Checklist, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
