First report of the genus Oxyserphus Masner (Hymenoptera: Proctotrupidae) from India with description of a new species

ABSTRACT

In this study, Oxyserphus narendrani Debnath and Rajmohana sp. nov. (Hymenoptera: Proctotrupidae) is described from India. This represents the first record of the genus Oxyserphus Masner from India and the first formally described species of the genus from the Oriental Region. A comprehensive morphological description, diagnosis, and illustrations are provided. An updated checklist of the Indian species of Proctotrupidae is also presented.
