ABSTRACT

Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms, also known as druginduced hypersensitivity syndrome (DRESS/ DIHS), represents a rare, severe adverse drug reaction. The syndrome typically manifests with rash, fever, facial edema, and multiorgan involvement and requires a prompt withdrawal of the culprit drug. This review summarises existing knowledge on DRESS, including pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic approaches and treatment options.
