An annotated checklist of plants of Delhi, India

ABSTRACT

Delhi, the capital of India, is one of the most populated cities in North India. However, very little information is available regarding the diversity of vascular plants in this region after the work of Maheshwari. The study is grounded in existing literature and our field survey conducted in the area. This study was conducted to gather information on the various plant species in the flora of Delhi. During this study, 1194 vascular plant species from 714 genera and 148 families were recorded in Delhi, comprising 05 Pteridophytes, 12 Gymnosperms, and 1177 Angiosperms.
